As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location as an unarmed patrol officer, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in the job state. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access activity and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and/or vendors in accordance with site protocols and post orders.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, assisting with directional needs, and maintaining detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and other security-related observations.
