About The Position

As a Security Officer Mobile Patrol Driver in Wichita, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. At a dynamic technology and telecommunications location, Allied Universal Security Officers conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support access-related procedures with professionalism. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and sharing information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and support entry and exit control processes in alignment with site protocols and business needs.
  • Assist with routine security-related inspections, observe equipment and facility conditions, and communicate maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity through appropriate reporting channels.
