About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Alarm Driver in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at an automotive location, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout automotive facility buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to designated areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
