Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be willing to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be able to restrain individuals when required.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities according to site protocols.
  • Support a professional atmosphere by assisting with directions, managing visitor-related concerns, and helping to de-escalate tense situations with courtesy and respect.
