Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a hospital environment that includes the morgue.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting, as permitted by law and site policy.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, hallways, and other assigned areas, assisting with visitor direction, access control activities, and other security-related support functions.
  • Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, policy concerns, and security-related issues, and by following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
