Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • At least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • The ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • At least 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent situations, and requests for assistance in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, visitor activity, and restricted areas while supporting staff, patients, and visitors with directions and security-related assistance as needed.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or disruptions in a clear and timely manner, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
