As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, lobbies, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures and reporting unusual behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general information while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions across the location.
