As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a public health location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials as required, and direct guests to appropriate offices or services.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activity, and other security-related concerns.
