Job Description As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol in Poway, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will help monitor access and screen visitors, support staff and patients with clear directions, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. You will maintain a visible presence near sensitive areas such as the morgue, communicate concerns to the team, and respond to incidents with professionalism. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • The work site is a hospital morgue.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific screening procedures, access guidelines, and Allied Universal post orders at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct entry screening activities such as confirming identification, verifying visitor authorization, and asking health-related screening questions per site policy, including directing individuals to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting clinical staff and/or emergency services support as needed and documenting actions taken.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and adjacent areas for unusual activity and policy violations, helping to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
  • Complete required reports and logs, communicate screening updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
