Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor and/or manager experience, or 5 years of security-related experience.
  • The client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Applicants must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or restricted areas in accordance with site policies, and assist with directions, escorts, and general assistance when appropriate.
  • Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation related to patrol observations, policy concerns, and/or response activities.
