About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Plant in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
A minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter access points, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Monitor entry and exit activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and verify credentials, visitor logs, and/or delivery documentation in accordance with site policies.
Document incidents, daily activity, and/or maintenance or access concerns, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client representatives, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
