As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Access Control in Harrisonburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors.
Provide customer service by following site-specific policies, procedures, and responding to security-related inquiries.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site procedures.
Assist in emergency response activities, including guiding personnel and visitors during evacuations or other site emergencies.
Communicate with Allied Universal management and site representatives regarding security-related matters as needed.
