As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a manufacturing and industrial location by monitoring access control points and patrolling assigned areas. You will maintain a visible presence, assist with visitor management, and deliver outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Candidates should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • This is primarily a driving post.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors as per site-specific procedures.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with inquiries related to access control and site navigation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any unusual conditions.
  • Document all access control activities, incidents, and observations in daily logs and/or incident reports as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders when necessary to support emergency response activities.
  • Maintain awareness of all site-specific policies and procedures relevant to access control within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
