Job Description As a Security Officer Credentialing Desk in Ridgeville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting a government location, you will focus on access control by greeting staff and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and monitoring entry points and cameras. You will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document activity with clear communication. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access Control and/or Badge Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Control access at entry points by verifying identification, processing sign-in and/or sign-out, issuing temporary badges when directed, and documenting access activity per post orders.
- Monitor doors, gates, alarms, and/or camera systems as assigned, reporting irregular conditions and following escalation protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and local responders when directed.
- Complete required reports and logs, including incident reports, access control logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate relevant updates during post turnover.
