As a Security Officer - Mall in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with crowd and/or line management during busy periods, and communicate clearly with management and/or first responders when needed.
• Support daily operations by documenting incidents, providing directions and assistance to guests, and helping to address policy violations and other security-related issues in a courteous manner.
