About The Position
As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Mall Center in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, guests, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities throughout the location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with property management and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor activity at the location and assist with access control, crowd flow, and after-hours checks in support of daily operations and special events.
- Prepare clear reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and relay relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and/or site contacts.
