As a Security Officer Mall Patrol in Buena Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the property. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while contributing to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, assist with access control and/or visitor interactions, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and other security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a professional environment by following post orders, providing clear directions to the public, and assisting with crowd and/or traffic flow during busy shopping periods or special events.
