About The Position

As a Security Officer Mall Patrol Driver in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail center location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout shopping areas, common areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, and other assigned locations, helping to confirm that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas and that property rules are followed.
• Support daily operations by observing customer and employee activity, providing directions and assistance, and reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
