As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help greet visitors and team members, verify access, screen for prohibited items, and document activity using site systems. You will maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents while delivering helpful, respectful customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will support an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to client personnel, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and/or contractors entering the facility by conducting credential checks and authorized screening measures, and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited items.
• Support shipping and receiving operations by monitoring access points near gates, yards, and dock areas, verifying appointments and/or delivery documentation as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility interior, exterior, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and document observations per post orders.
