Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be able to type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy front desk location.
  • Greet employees, visitors, and contractors, assist with access control processes, and help direct guests according to location protocols.
  • Monitor lobby activity, visitor logs, badges, and entry points, and report unusual incidents or concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Answer phones, support front desk communications, and coordinate with site contacts regarding deliveries, appointments, and/or visitor access requests.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner while documenting security-related events according to site guidelines.
