Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, which is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, visitor processing, badge access support, and/or other security-related activities at the front desk location.
  • Monitor lobby and entry activity, greet employees, drivers, vendors, and guests, and direct them according to site protocols for a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Maintain front desk records, access logs, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity, delivery issues, and/or policy concerns to site leadership according to post instructions.
  • Support the flow of people and information at the reception area by answering questions, verifying credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized access through consistent application of site policies.
