As a Security Officer Licensed Patrol in Valhalla, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, observe and report concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and community members by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols at a government education location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, contacting designated personnel and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft, vandalism, and other disruptive conduct.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and security-related observations in clear, accurate reports and communicate concerns to appropriate personnel.
