About The Position

As a Security Officer X Ray Item Assessment in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to help identify prohibited items, support access procedures, and maintain a professional presence. You will interact with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, screening protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or personal property in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.
• Monitor access points, screening equipment, and restricted areas; report suspicious activity, prohibited items, or policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and documentation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, business operations, and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
