About The Position

As a Security Officer Industrial Site in Summerville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific policies, access procedures, and emergency response protocols at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and sharing updates with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout buildings, office areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials where required, and report policy violations, maintenance issues, and/or suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures.
• Support day-to-day security-related operations by preparing incident reports, communicating clearly with staff and visitors, and assisting with emergency-related directions when appropriate.
