Security Officer II
About The Position
The Security Officer II provides a secure and safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians, personnel, and volunteers, ensuring minimal threats to their well-being and property. This role involves patrolling and monitoring facility premises, identifying and reporting suspicious activities and unsafe conditions. Key responsibilities include access control, managing keys, and responding to emergencies. The officer also assists staff, physicians, patients, and visitors, which includes monitoring and, if necessary, restraining violent patients. Additionally, the role involves investigating and documenting incidents within the facility and serving as a liaison between staff and local law enforcement agencies.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Proprietary Private Security Officer (PSO) certification
- 1 year recent relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Provide a secure and safe environment that allows patients, visitors, physicians, personnel and volunteers to deliver or receive quality services with minimal threats against their personal well-being and property.
- Patrol and monitor facility premises.
- Observe and report suspicious and unauthorized activities and unsafe conditions.
- Perform access control.
- Control keys.
- Handle emergency response and notification.
- Render assistance and security related services to staff, physicians, patients, and visitors, including monitoring and restraining violent patients.
- Investigate and document incidents relative to the facility.
- Provide necessary liaison between staff and local law enforcement agencies.
