The Level II Security Officer is responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for Laguna Development Corporation (LDC) patrons, employees, facilities, grounds, and assets while serving as a lead security presence in the absence of a Security Supervisor. This role assists with supervising security operations, acts as the Officer in Charge (OIC) when necessary, and responds to a wide range of incidents including altercations, theft, vandalism, fire, illegal entry, and other unlawful activities. Duties include conducting patrols, monitoring buildings and grounds, preparing incident reports, communicating effectively via telephone and radio, providing crowd and traffic control, supporting emergency response efforts, evacuation and staging procedures, fire watch assignments, and incident command situations. The officer also escorts patrons to vehicles, coordinates security escorts for cash transfers, assists with money counting procedures, protects restricted areas and casino assets, administers reasonable suspicion and post-incident urine analysis testing, and may be required to testify in court. Additionally, the position enforces Security Department policies and complies with Pueblo of Laguna Gaming Control Board/Tribal Gaming Regulatory Authority, federal, and New Mexico regulations.
