As a Security Officer Identity Screening in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming, professional environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and documenting security-related activity. You will remain visible to help deter incidents, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and deliveries in accordance with established access-control procedures; verify credentials and direct authorized individuals appropriately.
  • Monitor entry points and screening equipment, identify prohibited or unauthorized items, and escalate concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and the surrounding business perimeter, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.
