About The Position

As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry points, manage badges and access permissions, respond to alarm panel activity, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service while supporting a secure environment through clear communication and professional teamwork. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization and credentials, issue visitor badges as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian access to the facility, communicate access requirements, and direct authorized visitors and contractors to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
