About The Position

Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of an organization's premises, employees, and visitors. This role involves monitoring security systems, conducting regular patrols, responding to incidents, and enforcing security policies and procedures. Will be the first line of defense against unauthorized access, theft, and other security threats, maintaining a visible presence to deter potential risks. This position requires strong observational skills, quick decision-making abilities, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies and security breaches.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 6 months of security-related experience (e.g., security program, police organization, military branch, conflict counseling) required.
  • Must attain Licensed Security Guard/Officer certification for the State of Tennessee within 60 days of employment.
  • Undergoes and clears necessary background checks and driving skills.
  • Must pass a criminal background investigation; have and maintain a clean motor vehicle driving record.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience in data entry and working in emergency situations and a fast-paced, stressful environment, standing for long hours and lifting weights, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office (Word/ Excel, etc.), preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in responding to inquiries and resolving issues or complaints (e.g., issuance of personnel badges and hangtags).
  • Support the team in providing excellent customer service; May provide patrol duties, as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining daily reports with relevant information (e.g., observations, surveillance, signatures).
  • Issue all personnel badges and parking hangtags for all hospital employees and guests using the security Access Control System.
  • Assist employees with creating or resetting ID Badge Personal PIN, Fingerprinting for Biometric Enrollment, and adding Biometric Access to an employee’s profile within the Access Control System.
  • Assist with termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
