About The Position

Provide essential support to proactive components of the Security Program. Primarily focus on manning weapons screening stations, managing visitor badging systems, and providing ambulatory security concierge services. Ensure adherence to access control protocols, registering visitors, opening and closing units for business operations, and assisting in safety-related initiatives. Further job duties may include dispatch, security records entry and Security Technology coordination for access control and badging.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• 2 years Healthcare Security, Safety. May substitute Law Enforcement or Military for Healthcare Security Experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
• WELLE within 90 days - maintained annually thereafter
• IAHSS Basic Certification within 6 months - maintained every 5 years thereafter
• Level II AHCA Screening upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor persons entering facility through weapon detections system.
• Operate and manage visitor badging system including verifying credentials and authorizations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address safety concerns related to pedestrian traffic to the facility including those of restricted access.
• Maintain accurate records of security-related activities, incidents and observations.
• Ambulatory duties include open/close activities of the site for staff safety.
• Fire Watch related to construction activities and routine patrols of assigned areas.
• Other duties during an emergency may be assigned by the Security Leadership Team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management within the job scope.
