As a Security Officer - Housing Facility, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic transportation location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism, teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach.

Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols at the transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns, and document observations through required reports and logs.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, crowd management, and/or access control procedures while supporting order throughout the location.
