As a Security Officer - Hospital - Full Time in Chesterfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
  • Must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access concerns, visitor-related matters, and requests for support.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting and reporting unusual conditions or activity.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
