As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and clear communication. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and coordinate with site teams as needed. Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for hospital sites.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X‐Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, with conditions varying by post.
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor, patient, and staff activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious behavior; report concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site staff, and contacting emergency services when directed.
  • Complete incident reports and daily activity logs, communicate relevant updates to supervisors and site contacts, and follow direction for special assignments such as escorts and/or area checks.
