Job Description As a Security Officer - Walking Patrol in Jackson, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support smooth daily operations. You will conduct routine rounds, document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with strong customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking lots, and perimeter gates to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems when assigned, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, area control, and timely notification to the appropriate parties.
- Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, visitor and vehicle entries, and incident documentation, and support investigations by preserving observations and information.
