As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer service with professionalism and respect. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting evacuations, spill and/or fire notifications, and coordinating with site management and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and control entry for employees, contractors, and visitors by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow per post orders.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs in a timely manner; communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts via radio, phone, and/or other approved systems.
