About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Campus Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, and communicate clearly while documenting activity. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting clinical staff, site management, and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance, access, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Support access control by monitoring designated entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization when required, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Complete shift logs and incident reports with accurate details, and communicate security-related information to oncoming officers and site leadership as needed.
