About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Visitor Screening in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, behavioral health-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents, patrol activities, and security-related observations accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
