About The Position

As a Security Officer for Hospital Patrols in North New Hyde Park, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Monitor the front desk area, greet and direct visitors, verify identification and credentials as required, and maintain visitor logs and/or access records.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
  • Observe activity in the lobby and surrounding entry areas, report unusual conditions or policy violations, and help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Communicate clearly with campus personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership while maintaining a professional, service-oriented presence.
