Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding service and communication. Requirements

  • Must have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols throughout the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, staff, and/or emergency personnel as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, provide directions and assistance to visitors, and document security-related activities, observations, and/or incidents according to site procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities by following post orders, assisting with crowd management and traffic flow, and relaying important information during medical and/or facility-related events.
