As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Morning Shift in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Hospital vaccines are required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Must be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, assist with visitor direction, and support a professional environment through visible presence and clear communication.
  • Document incidents, daily activities, and security-related concerns in a timely manner while following site protocols and Allied Universal standards.
