As an Armed Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Morning Shift in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess supervisory experience.
  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity for restricted areas, verifying credentials, observing visitor movement, and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or response actions in detailed reports, and communicate relevant information with site contacts, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
