About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Unit in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Ability to meet hospital vaccination requirements is required.
  • Ability to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards, maintenance issues, and other unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control practices, visitor interactions, and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support daily operations by communicating with staff and first responders when needed, following post orders, and completing required reports related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
