Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Hospital-required vaccines are required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, patients, visitors, and first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas to help support authorized access, visitor direction, and adherence to location policies.
  • Document daily activities, incidents, and observations, and/or share relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
