About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol and Loss Prevention in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, support access control needs, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a public healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and screening-related procedures, and help to support orderly movement throughout the location.
  • Communicate with hospital personnel, public agencies, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters, policy concerns, and incidents requiring follow-up.
