Requirements

  • Have at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to designated areas, assist with visitor directions, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.
