As a Security Officer Hospital Emergency Response in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Hospital Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to sensitive situations, including access-controlled areas and behavioral incidents, while providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and access-related concerns.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Assist with visitor access procedures, directions, and entry-point monitoring in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Document incidents, observations, and response activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency personnel as needed.
