About The Position

As a Security Officer Hospital Emergency Response in Baltimore, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to routine concerns. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be vaccinated as required for hospital employment.
  • Be able to restrain individuals as required.
  • Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access as directed, and providing information or directions to visitors and staff.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
