As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and adherence to Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain individuals when necessary.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or access concerns.
  • Assist with access control activities, visitor screening, badge verification, and directions while maintaining a courteous and professional presence.
  • Document observations, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
