Requirements

Hospital vaccines are required.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to de-escalate tense interactions and notify appropriate personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies, offering directions and assistance to visitors, patients, and staff as appropriate.
Document incidents, observations, and/or policy-related concerns in clear reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or emergency responders as needed.
