As a Security Officer Hospital Access Screener in Rancho Mirage, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Screener with Allied Universal, you will welcome patients, visitors, and staff while supporting a secure, caring environment. You will screen entrants, communicate facility guidelines, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide courteous customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and healthcare facility policies.
  • Screen patients, visitors, and contractors entering designated areas in accordance with access-control requirements and visitor management procedures.
  • Verify visitor authorization, issue and collect visitor credentials as required, and direct individuals to appropriate entrances, departments, or waiting areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate screening, visitor, and incident documentation while communicating relevant information to site leadership and emergency response personnel.
